Fighting opponents is extremely effective, exciting and spectacular. Nevertheless, the rest of the game is a miracle. It’s not because they’re badly made – I just don’t like their character. I have never liked these passes and unfortunately they are still as weak as I remember them. And by default, we also have Gummi missions, where we fly from one world to another. Apart from just running, fighting Heartless and Nobodies and collecting puzzles and any other items, there are also levels in which we participate in the songs – like rhythm games. In “two”, due to the fact that it is a large part, the gameplay is more extensive and varied than in its portable counterpart (BBS originally appeared on PSP). It plays great in both Kingdom Heart II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix. I didn’t really like the new versions that hear more live instruments at first, but after a few sessions I found that they looked great and were just as good as the original ones. The first thing that struck me was the change in the sound of the songs. For example, it is enough to give a scene with Yen Sid where we are reading a certain book.
The 2006 game looks great most of the time, but there are times where the texture is worse. Most of the textures have been tweaked, and the resolution has been raised to Full HD, but the whole thing works at a very stable 30 frames per second. The changes brought by the collection mainly concern the audiovisual setting. The first is Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. Just like in 1.5 ReMIX, we received three titles in the second collection – including one in which we will not play, but only get to know its story through a series of cutscenes. It’s true that it’s a bit late and the enthusiasm is a bit weaker than it would have been a few years ago, but you can’t have it all and I’m not complaining, because Square Enix did a great job as usual. However, after launching Kingdom Hearts II, my favorite version so far, I forgot about everything, especially since this time I could finally play the Final Mix version. However, I missed a movie combining three titles from the collection – something that took place in ZoE HD, for example. The first wave of nostalgia has already hit me in the main menu of the collection, where we are greeted by another great version of the song Dearly Beloved. And although I spent hundreds of hours playing these games, I was eager to join the HD collection. Each of the scenes had my emotions, did not let me get any sleep, and at times it made me catch my head at the sight of some scenes. Kingdom Hearts is one of the greatest series I have ever known.
